Been listening to EBTG since the beginning, in the US when I was 18 and still listening now, decades later! I am happy to say that I grew up a fan. This was great❤

It's really interesting listening to them talk about their creative process. So many levels both within the music and within the lyrics. A truly iconic and unique band. I am glad they are back and still delivering at such a high level.

A true marriage of two individual talents who collaborate both musically and in life. Just wonderful to be able to experience and appreciate. Thanks so much!

They are definitely the kind of people I’d have a drink with and have a major blast.

Best part of this interview is the well explained brilliantly explanation why they're not touring. FAN DIVEN vs ARTIST DRIVEN. I love die hard fans who love unconditionally. I'm annoyed by so call fans that what to customize the artists to their own personal taste (song selections, mixes, versions, era, looks,, etc) as if they were buying fast food (that tastes identically each time you eat it). Their job (The artists) is to create explore grow take risks have fun etc. Their job isn't a Broadway Musical where 6 days a week they REPEATEDLY perform in the same order, the same songs, in the same outfits/costumes, do everything identically as the previous show. When you go see theatre you can expect the same repeated performance with barely any changes. When you see artists year after year, tour after tour there will be many many changes (like it or not). I love EBTG as is - the whole mix, the whole journey,, their whole catalog. I'm grateful and thankful. Of course I prefer some songs or sounds more than others but I love them unconditionally. I don't have any expectations when they release new music or go see them live. I'm just fed up with FAN DRIVEN non stop complaining, wishing, and thinking they're job is to identically repeat the 80's or 90's. That was then this is now. The original albums will always be there for you, them, or us to relive and listen to as in on repeat or once in a blue moon. That was a time, a period, place and time that anyone can revisit via the original recordings. The now part and the live experience and where the artist is now is totally different. They (the artists) outgrow alot of their catalog, they're not connect to them at all like fans are. Like they said it's not exciting nor inspiring to repeat themselves now note by note. Being a Driven Fan is customizing to your likes and making it about what you want and not what the artist wants. I get it but wish more fans would refrain from the negativity of what they don't do now and appreciate everything they've done in the last forty years. Thank you Ben & Tracey. #bekind #unconditionallove

I agree, yet I think the negativity of some comes from the fact that some (newer) fans weren’t born yet and only know EBTG from the dance music electronica days. I, like you, love their work and appreciate them as wonderful artists. They inspire me and wake up the creative side of my life and I just think I am lucky to have discovered them here in the US. EBTG has always been alternative music here, difficult to define into the neat little box of the US music industry.

Cool, it was a great interview and I happened to be there too. I was standing right behind the guy who was filming this, his phone stabilised by one of the pillars of the room and after a while I did think his arm must be killing him :) The place barely had any air con though and one lady actually passed out. It was a cold, rainy day, we had to queue outside for quite a while before being let in but it was great to finally see them in person!.

Great to hear these two, and the stories behind the songs…’No one knows we’re dancing’ is by far the best track (and the other tracks are wonderful).

11:10 reminds me of why a band like Empire of the Sun has such a core style that is not replicated in any other projects by Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore. When they come together, magic happens.

Best pop band group of the last decade. I was 20 years old when the song Missing was a HUGE BOOMMMM!!! If that time had been today that song would have had 5000 millions of views... Her voice was always majestic. Also the songs Wrong, and 5 fathoms!!! I mean real music. Also the ong CORCOVADO!!! It s actually amazing!

That said, who is the interviewer? She looks familiar.
